Biography

Trained as a clinical researcher, Dr. Hill has a documented history of advancing a prevention-based public health agenda within a clinical environment. Her academic portfolio to date has been based on creating a niche of merging public health and emergency medicine. She has published 22 peer reviewed manuscripts, 10 of which she first authored, in diverse areas addressing health disparities among disadvantaged minority populations, coupled with 25 abstracts, 20 presentations and extramural funding support from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health through the American Psychological Association and Centers for AIDS Research, as well as industry sponsored research. These tangible outcomes attest to her scientific contributions to date. Her primary research focus is HIV/AIDS, STIs, and STDs. In summary, here expertise includes the design, implementation, and analysis of pilot and exploratory studies, randomized clinical trial development and implementation, and integrating public health-based prevention research into routine clinical visits in the emergency department.
